Don't Get A Dog!

I’m mad. I’m hopping mad. I’m so mad. I could spit nails. I know that what I’m going to say has been said over and over and over again, but you still AREN’T LISTENING!!

Where does it say that we can abuse our dogs?

Where does it say that our dogs are so beneath us that we can beat our dogs?

Where does it say that we can get a puppy and then ignore that puppy when it becomes an adult?

What kind of human beats that dog?

What kind of human starves that dog?

What kind of human deprives that dog of a good life?

I’ve had enough.

I’m sick and tired of giving everyone a pass, because they’re too poor, ignorant or just darn lazy to feed and care for that dog. -- Don’t get a dog!

I’m sick and tired of giving everyone a pass, because they were beaten as a child by some adult, therefore, giving them a pass to beat their dog. -- Don’t get a dog!

I’m sick and tired of giving everyone a pass, because they’re too busy to take care of their dog. That dog now lives outside on a chain, without contact from anyone – no food, no water, no interaction. -- Don’t get a dog!

I don’t want to hear your “poor me” stories. I don’t want to hear from anyone about any of their excuses. -- Don’t get a dog!

You people who are breeding your dogs just for money need to STOP!

You people who are breeders and through your breeding process are changing the behavior, character, and characteristics of your dogs need to STOP!

You people who get a puppy because they’re so cute without first assessing if you can afford that DOG; its food and the expected and unexpected vet bills AND if you will have time to spend with that dog. That involves training, exercise and the dog being a part of your family. You need to STOP!

You people who abuse and beat your dog are thugs and criminals and worse than the scum of the earth. Yes, Michael Vick, I am one person who is thrilled that you are in prison. I’m sure there are more of you out there; you WILL get your day in jail! You need to STOP!

Would somebody please tell me, why after how many years of how many stories of neglected and abused dogs as seen on TV’s Animal Precinct – New York and Animal Cops – Detroit, Houston, San Francisco, and the many news stories, that we continue to hear and relive stories of neglected and abused dogs, cats, horses, pigs (to name just a few of our animal friends.) The list is much too long. You need to STOP!

People start standing up to the animal abusers. If your State has lenient animal abuse laws, it is time to change them to make the abusers pay for their acts and actions!

Write to your congress-men and -women!
LET THEM HEAR YOU ROAR!
FIGHT ANIMAL CRUELTY!

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK:
Look at your dog(s) and be thankful; they're part of your family -- a pat will do!
